Monitor Calibration

Calibrating your monitor is an important step in achieving good color output from digital printers. You can either calibrate your monitor using devices such as the Color Vision Spyder or Praxisoft WiziWYG or by using Adobe Gamma.

Start by setting the color temperature (white point) to 6500k. Set your monitor to 24 or 32 bit color (true color) and keep ambient light as low as possible. After calibrating your monitor it is important to evaluate overall color and density.

Go to http://www.digitaldog.net/tips/ and download the
"printer test file". This image should help determine good color.
